Secured Debt Investments (“SDI” is pleased to announce another successful exit. This is the second realized return for Fund II (Fund II started it’s investment period in January 2016) and fifty-sixth for the investment manager.
The timely exit exceeded the underwritten assumptions through an expedited discounted payoff, showcasing one of the inherent advantages of our strategy in having multiple exit scenarios.
SDI proceeded with the foreclosure process and receivership litigation while simultaneously negotiating a settlement agreement with the borrower. SDI was able to successfully exit the investment without taking title to the property. On average, SDI takes back title to the collateral property approximately 50% of the time.
